Pind daan, as per Hindu belief, is a ritual to offer homage to the departed soul. It is a very important Hindu ritual performed by the relatives of the person who has left for the heavenly abode.
Hindus believe that the immersion of ashes must be done in the most famous river, the Ganga. Many people perform the immersion ceremony at various sacred locations.
According to Hindu religious texts, when a person dies, their body ends, and the soul leaves the body to go to its next destination, which depends on the cumulative karma of all their previous births. If the body's process of evolution merges into the Ever-Existent or God, it is prepared for the next birth. The soul is reborn continuously in different types of bodies until it finally completes its evaluation process. Every year, during the Shraadh month, Hindus perform rituals for 15 days, during which they refrain from cutting their hair.
Importance of Pind Daan:
-
Post-death, wandering souls find peace when pind daan is offered by their relatives.
-
Pind daan brings freedom to deceased souls with materialistic inclinations, helping them leave the earth and their loved ones.
-
It is believed that post pind daan, souls are relieved from the torments of hell, leading them to Moksha.
-
Relatives offering pind daan receive blessings from the soul, which is believed to have a strong positive influence on their lives.
-
Pind daan brings success, peace, and prosperity to people's lives.
A pind, as per Hindu religious texts, is something in a circular form. This is how pind daan got its name, where food made in a circular-ball form is offered to the soul by their relatives during shradh karma.
The material used to prepare pind during shradh is made by kneading rice or barley flour. These pinds are made in a circular form and are offered to the deceased during pind daan karma.
If anyone cannot perform these activities due to time, distance, or other situations, we help them complete these religious processes at various famous places. We also arrange well-known pundits for Asthivisarjan, and all the materials and boat services will be arranged during the ceremony.
